Rusty Dodger found his Pa when he was about 4 weeks old. Pa was at his recently deceased fathers home when this tiny kitten, flea infested and a mess, came up to him. Pa picked him up and put him in his car and Rusty never lived outside again. After a vet visit he was on his way to a life where he would be adored and loved. He would beg for food from Pa at every dinner meal. And Pa would feed him. When we had desert with whipped topping Mom (me) would give him a little. He would come running when he heard the whipped topping come out. Every morning he and Gypsy, his Savannah companion, would get up on the table and mom would give them both treats before we left for work. He was raised by his dog mom, Natasha, when he moved in with us. She adored him too and protected him. That was her baby from the start. His best dog friend was Thor, the Norwegian Elkhound. Thor would lay down in the evening and Rusty would wash his face and ears almost every night. They we’re buds. Rusty Dodger made our lives better. I will truly miss him sleeping on my pillow every night. He would spend about 10-15 minutes purring in my ear and then he would jump down to patrol the house. We will always remember Rusty Dodger with love. We will always miss him.
