Gunner, Max & Mocha were from the last litter sired by our stud, Ziggy. We had so much fun watching these babies grow into spectacular dogs who have enriched our lives for the past 15+ years. We have had our fair share of German Shorthair Pointers over the past 35 years. Each one holds a special part of my heart.

Gunner came into our home while I was writing my dissertation. I had all my research in piles, on the floor, all around the room. One day little Gunner charged up the stairs, into the room, skidded across those piles and the cards went flying all over the room. He was so excited that he launched into my arms, wiggling and barked. I fell backwards laughing and roughed him up. He always had such a big personality that you just couldn’t ignore him. Gunner never stopped being the center of my universe. Nothing was ever as important as Gunner to me, even my research piles! I miss him deeply and think about him many times a day…everyday.
