Pet Passages of the Fingerlakes is independently owned and operated by Emma’s Eternal Light Inc, and was born because of a desire by Mark and Wendy Carlisle to provide compassionate and dignified pet cremation services. Pet Passages of the Fingerlakes is dedicated to our beloved Emma. Emma was our first rescue. It didn’t take long for her to capture our hearts. Her special needs made her extra special to us! In Emma’s world there were no strangers, only friends she hadn’t met yet. Her beautiful soul, grace, and amazing personality made her a favorite wherever she went. Even though her life was never without challenges, she lived each day to the fullest. She exuded love and devotion and taught us to appreciate each day, no matter what it may bring. When we said goodbye to Emma, the sadness and heartbreak was almost more than we could bear. Our lives had been so dedicated to meeting her needs and cherishing her, we had no idea how to live without her. Through our time of such tremendous grief, we longed for the same support, honor, and dignity given to humans when they die. After all, our pets are some of the most important family members we will ever have. We decided it was going to be our mission to provide families a place where they could feel safe to grieve and feel confident their fur family would be taken care of in death with love and dignity.
